We’re excited to announce a seamless transition from ShineTools to our new and improved commissioning app – Shiner! Designed with installers, distributors, and end-users in mind, Shiner takes smart energy management to the next level, making solar installations faster, easier, and more efficient than ever.

Why the Change?

Both ShineTools and Shiner have always provided quick 10-minute commissioning, simple battery integration, and a robust smart energy management system. However, Shiner introduces enhanced features and a smoother user experience to make your job even easier.

What’s Improved?

• One Screenshot for Permitting – Installers can continue to capture a single inverter settings screenshot for AHJ approvals instead of taking multiple images of each setting on the inverter. This saves time, reduces hassle, and ensures compliance with local regulations.

• Enhanced User Experience – Shiner offers a more intuitive interface for a smoother commissioning process and remote monitoring.

• User Monitoring Optimizations – Distributors, installers, and end-users can all benefit from faster and more accurate real time monitoring, system insights, and automated energy controls across devices.

• Fully Programable Energy Optimizatoin Modes - Including: Time of Use, Grid first, Battery First, Peak Shaving, and EV modes - with Growatt or third party EV chargers and more!

What You Need to Do as an Installer:

• If the side of your inverter box says "Download Shiner" you will need to scan the QR code and use the new application for commissioning. If there is no Shiner label, the former ShineTools will continue to work.

• For inverters already online via WIFI, LAN, or 4G, they will be migrated to the new Shiner application and all data will transfer over seamlessly for use inside the new app.

• Installers account credentials will remain the same

• If you are a new installer, please contact your local distributor or our service team to set up an account

The new Shiner application makes all the great features you love, even better! Eventually all users will be transfered from ShineTools to Shiner and our new US based server, so be sure to look out for that seamless change coming up for your future projects.
