Growatt APX HV Battery System Wins Best in Show at Solar Power World 2025 Awards

We at Growatt are incredibly honored to announce we have won the "Best in Show" award from Solar Powered World for our Residential High Voltage APX  battery system. This wasn't a popularity contest, we were pitted against the entire residential market, and awarded one of the best in show awards by a panel of independent judges ranging from Engineers to Installers, Distributors, NABCEP professionals, and industry experts. Overall this has been an amazing moment for the Growatt team and our partners knowing the work we have put into this system over the years since its launch in 2019.

As noted by the judges panel; With dozens of submissions across multiple categories, the clear theme that emerged was simplicity and intuition. The focus was on products that simplify commissioning like with our newly launched SHINER application, products that slash installation steps as done with our simple hybrid inverter wiring and easily hanging wall mounts which can be completed by a single installer, and products that reduce inventory headaches in the way our MIN inverters and the paired APX battery is perfect for any and every retro fit or ac coupling application. Products and systems that nail these things make life easier for installers and homeowners alike. As Solar Power World’s editor in chief Kelly Pickerel noted, “The theme among the winning Top Products this year is ease of use.”

The judges called out the APX as the standout winner in its category. Judge and Solar Specialist at Fluke - Will White, perfectly captured why, “There are many modular battery systems on the market, but few have the ability to operate independently within the installation. The APX HV US battery has the ability to increase storage capacity at any time during the life of the system, and each battery module can operate at a different state of charge. These features allow systems to adapt to changing family needs and ever-evolving market dynamics. It also has a built-in fire suppression system for additional peace of mind.”

All of these key features are based on real installer feedback from key partners like Sunrun and Greentech. When paired with the Growatt MIN hybrid inverter (3–11.4 kW) and the SYN 200A passthrough transfer switch, this comprehensive system delivers seamless, breaker inclusive 200A whole home backup with a 0.5 second transfer times and integrated split-phase output so no sub panel necessary.

This win is the culmination of years of relentless refinement, this platform has been battle tested throughout massive deployments across the US and other regions globally. Every connector, firmware update, and the seamless commissioning process reflected in tens of thousands of installations and millions of cycles in the field, and we’re just getting started!

So what's next?!

Early 2026 brings the official release of full parallel capability for the MIN series inverter and ups the total APX battery capacity to 45.6 kWh. Larger homes, light commercial, and multi-family projects will finally get the same bulletproof modularity and ease of use that the residential market has enjoyed.
